Sailing the high seas

Away from Caldecotte Lake, MKSC members, Helen, Gerard, Jennifer and William Brown enjoy their boats as much as they can and recently have enjoyed the Sea Lochs of the Scottish West Coast and the rivers and harbours of Cornwall.

This year they were awarded the Wayfarer Association’s Piers Plowman trophy for their video and log of the Association’s trip from Chichester Harbour to the Isle of Wight.

Helen, a Committee member and also the MKSC Membership Officer was delighted to receive the prize during the RYA Virtual Dinghy show and said that “we love sailing our Wayfarer so much, it’s an ideal boat for a family to dabble with a bit of racing or, more likely for us, to pack a couple of fishing rods and a picnic for a day of cruising and relaxing”.

You can see more of their adventures on the Wayfarer 10630 YouTube channel.
